Video: To Check-In or Not To Check-In?

On July 22, 2010, marketing professionals and social media communicators came together to watch Yelp, TriOut and Pegshot discuss both the challenges and opportunities for location based social networking. The event was hosted by MITX (the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange) and panelists included:

- Phil Thomas Di Giulio - Co-Founder, Pegshot.com
- Leighann Farrelly - Marketing Director, Yelp.com
- Wayne Sutton - Business Development & Marketing Strategist, TriOut

Mike Schneider of Allen and Gerritsen moderated the panel and led a lively discussion essentially focusing on three topics:
- How can a brand or business owner activate these LBS?
- What is the purpose/value of a check-in?
- Why should marketers and business owners work with this information?

The following video is footage we captured from the MITX event. Feel free to share. We only ask that you please credit us here. Thanks and enjoy!
